Difference between OLTP and OLAP :

	OLTP	OLAP
1	OLTP stands for Online Transactional Processing.	OLAP stands for Online Analytical Processing.
2	Data Usage : Current Data (Database).	Data Usage : historical Data (Data warehouse).
3	Processing : fast for delta operations (DML).	Processing : fast for read operations.
4	Operation : Delta operation (update, insert, delete) aka DML Terms Used : table, columns and relationships	Operation : read operation (select)
5	N/A	Terms Used : dimension table, fact table
